An inspiring story – Teaching great lessons about life

Here are some inspiring words -Anonymous

Though these words were send to me in the name of Steve Jobs, but in absence of any firm source they can’t be attributed to Mr. Jobs.

Steve Jobs’ Last Words were “Oh..wow, Oh..wow, Oh..wow” as told by his sister and published at various media print and online.

These words convey great learning and inspiration.

By anyway, we should take a pause in life, look around, feel the love and cherish all what we do have, be grateful and do all the good what all we can to live a happy life filled with satisfaction and contentment.

Here goes these words:

“I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success.

However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.

At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.

In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer…

Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth…

Should be something that is more important:
Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger days

Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being, just like me.

God gave us the senses to let us feel the love in everyone’s heart, not the illusions brought about by wealth.

The wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me. What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love.

That’s the true riches which will follow you, accompany you, giving you strength and light to go on.

Love can travel a thousand miles. Life has no limit. Go where you want to go. Reach the height you want to reach. It is all in your heart and in your hands.

What is the most expensive bed in the world?

Sick bed…
You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you.

Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost – Life.

When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading – Book of Healthy Life.

Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down.

Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends.
Treat yourself well. Cherish others.”

  1. Though a beautiful quote … its not by Steve Jobs … its from a poem “What the River Knows” by Wayne Fields …
    The full poem …

    “The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest, and air
    Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
    If only you are willing
    Your mind they’ll ease
    Your will they’ll mend
And charge you not a shilling.”

The above poem was publised in 1990

  2. Unfortunately this quote has gone viral on social media. All I can say is if this quote were attributed to you or to someone you love, and it was inaccurate in reality, you would not be okay with the world reading it and making false assumptions about that person that you loved. False representation can defame a person and not only that, it can put the defamer in a spiritual state of negative karma.

  3. Very inspiring,

but it does not “sound” like him (personal opinion).
The “Oh wow!” fits his personality more (again, personal opinion)
    peace.

    1. Bull. He doesn’t use the speaking style in that quote. Calling that number doesn’t prove a thing. What I do hear is quite a bit of hate directed towards Steve Jobs by you too.

  5. It is a great article to read but I am not sure if these words are steve jobs words because he pursued what he loved the most, he created a beautiful product and stayed as a great example of someone who pursued his passion not the wealth. He as keen changing the experiences of human lives and offer something that one has not experience ever before He led a very simple life (almost zen like) , doubt his love was anything material.

  7. It’s an inspiring story but if you don’t know who the author is or it’s a proven fact, you should NOT post this as a last words of Steve Jobs. This is completely wrong. I hope you understand.

The story by itself can reach to so many, you don’t need to post it as what you did.

    Have a good day

  8. Yes I agree with those who said it doesn’t really matter who wrote the words, after all they do covey a great deal of truth. Jesus also states, “What good does it do a person to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can a person exchange for their souls?” (Matthew 16:26. Mark 8:63).
The most important thing is your preparation for eternity. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the Gospel’s will save it (Mark 8:36).
If you choose to continue to ignore God’s eternal love given in Christ then he will ignore you on judgement day when you pass from this temporal world into eternity. Consider the reality! Life on this earth is short! Jesus said, ” I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the father but through me. ” (John 14:6, similar concept in Act 4:12)

    1. It does matter, it’s a reputation at stake. Would you want your life to be depicted in an untrue manner that painted you out to be something you were not? Theres power in perception.

  9. What do you mean by “someone”? Is someone YOU in particular? If not, why don’t you put the credit to whom authored it.

    1. Someone isn’t me. I got this from one of my friend but don’t know who has authored it so can’t give credits. I have already mentioned I am not sure about whether the same are the Steve Jobs words. I found the words inspiring and hence I published.
