Yeah…it is. I too noticed prioritizing and focusing on one single task at a particular time brings more focus and productivity. Once the task in hand gets completed, there is a sense of accomplishment and we can take the other next most prioritized task with more enthusiasm.
On the other hand, in case of multitasking though we think we are handling certain tasks together, but we lack focus as much time is elapsed in hopping between the tasks and we are feared to complete the task in expectation of perfection to almost 90% completion stage and thus sense of accomplishment is also missing in that case. It hampers the overall productivity.

The multi-tasking is a good one. I find that I literally get something done when I try and multi task big projects.
