Incredible paper interior portraits by Simon Schubert

German artist Simon Schubert creates intricate paper works of interior portraits by just carefully folding plain white paper.

The folded lines of the pieces reveal delicate interiors of real buildings, such as the Berlin Stadtschloss and Marienbad.

In a statement about the project, the artist says: “The works often show interiors from the end of the 19th century reminding the spectator of ‘haunted mansions’.

Diana Beltran Herrera paper aviary comprises hundreds of sculptural birds, flowers, plants and insects.

Diana Beltran Herrera, is a Colombian designer and artist who has been working over the past years with paper as the primary medium in the production of her work.

Herrera has exhibited in her country as well as participating in solo and group shows in Europe, Asia and USA. Her recent commissions includes a piece for the Festival of ideas (program developed by Bristol City Council), and her first solo show in Asia (Jakarta, Indonesia) supported by the Embassy of Colombia in Indonesia and Cancilleria de Colombia en el Exterior.

Artistic work with paper is often meticulous and exact, requiring a healthy dose of patience, a knowledge of materials, and a steady hand. Herrera’s handiwork has seen the making of more than 100 construction paper and cardboard birds, fish, flower, plants and insects. Her colorful collection of birds is sculpted with a precise hyper-realism that matches the personalities and peculiarities of species from the great Hornbill to the European goldfinch.

The birds begin with a structural framework, also made from paper. Interwoven cardboard sheets form a sturdy foundation for the layers Herrera then applies. Each exterior sheet is carefully cut in tiny, oblong shapes that resemble individually plucked feathers. a fringe-like texture sliced into each edge mimics the wispy texture of actual plumage. The bird takes shape as Herrera meticulously attaches each colored quill, finally forming both large and small scale species that are nearly identical to their living, physical counterpart.

Nature Meets Urban Decay In Patrick Bergsma Magical,Gravity-Defying Landscape Sculpturs

Magical,Gravity-Defying Landscape Sculptures by Dutch Artist Patrick Bergsma.  His newer works demonstrate his endless creativity in sculpting floating, post-apocalyptic homes.

Appearing to defy gravity, old ramshackle buildings painted in rustic shades meld with rock formations and elaborate root systems. Bonsai trees sprout from the top, creating darkly beautiful habitats for tiny, marooned people; a helicopter lands perilously atop one, and on another, a girl kneels pensively amongst the roots of a dead tree.

New “Inception” Dining Table Designed with Gravity-Defying and Curving Cityscape

New “Inception” Dining Table by Stelios Mousarris

The innovative piece of furniture, inspired by the 2010 film Inception, seemed to bend reality with its fantastical form—it folded a wooden cityscape onto itself, using the buildings’ underside as a smooth tabletop.

Tiny skyscrapers, churches, and other buildings are fixed around an s-shaped curve, their roofs greeting one another along this path. To make this imaginative furniture a reality, Mousarris utilized 3D printing with wood and steel, as well as hand painted coloring techniques.

Measuring 250 centimeters (98 inches) long, 76 centimeters (30 inches) high, and 70 centimeters (27 inches) wide, this large table is perfect for entertaining. When not in use, it serves as a stunning statement piece in one’s dining room.

“I wanted to do something special.” and Nicole did by capturing his late husband’s silhouette into her maternity shoots

“I wanted to do something special.” remarked Nicole Bennett, a mississippi resident who made the memories of her late husband captured in her maternity shoots in a special way.

Pictures speak thousand words and here are the ones which can warm up your souls:

Nicole Bennett, of Jackson, Mississippi, incorporated her late husband Deonta in her maternity photo shoot

Maternity shoots to anyone are really really precious. Every mother wants to preserve these cherishing memories and Nicole did it in a tremendous way when her husband, Deonta, passed away just two months before her due date for her second baby’s birth.

She decided to include him in the photos in a very special way and make his presence be felt forever.

It had been Deonta's idea to do a maternity shoot with Nicole and their 4-year-old son Landen before her March 25 due date

Actually it was Deonta’s idea to have a maternity shoot with his beloved wife and their 4 years old son Landen which Nicole kept alive even after his death.

Photographer Sidney Conley who captured all the pictures digitally submerged images of Deonta as a silhouette showcased as his angel spirit.

He passed away unexpectedly just two months before Nicole's due date

As reported by Daily Mail, Nicole hopes that this would be special memory for her children and they can always remember their dad. “It’s memories for my son of his father and for my daughter who will never meet her father, it’s memories for her as well,” she said.

Photographer Conley digitally included Deonta in the photographs and admitted that he was so deeply moved, that it brought tears to his eyes.

The photos received over 100,000 shares on Conley’s Facebook page.

True love stays forever and these pictures proved it in a beautiful, heart melting way.

Nicole gifted the best gift ever to her children and made a lifetime memory for the entire family making sure that her kids always remember their dad.

Floral Tattoos Mimic Delicate Watercolor Paintings on Skin

Aro Tattoo, aka @tattooist_silo, creates exquisite works of art onto the skin of her clients. Focusing on floral arrangements, the Korean tattooist uses soft pink, red, and blue ink to mimic the colors you’d find in a beautiful sunset.  Aro Tattoo completely skips the black ink and defines form with color. These pieces have the feeling of a delicate watercolor painting as hues seamlessly flow into one another.
