Clever Ad Campaign Features Sculptures of Children Made Entirely from Books.

Working with the YCBE(Yokohama City Board of Education), a Dentsu Tokyo creative team led by creative director Miharu Matsunaga, has come up with a fantastic ad campaign designed to bring librarians back into libraries. To represent the notion that books shape who we are, Matsunaga and his team created sculptures of children made entirely from books. The sculptures were then photographed in various classrooms and libraries accompanied by short inspirational phrases like “We are made of our childhood books”

“Trans-Acciones,” the latest collection of artist Dionisio Gonzales is a set of surreal architectural designs that are not only amazing but equally beautiful. His project’s workplaces, mobile observatories and occasional retreats are balanced excellently.

Gonzales is well known for his architectural visualizations for disaster-prone areas.One cannot take his eyes off from the powerful and vast panoramic sceneries of these imaginary buildings.

All structures are set on pillars of reinforced concrete to support a horizontal structural plane. The composition’s idea is to leave the space at ground level open so it doesn’t corrupt in any way the surrounding environment. It comprises in a way what could be the ultimate equilibrium between nature and architecture.

Argentine artist Tomás Saraceno creates an aerial sculpture artworks that explore humanity’s environmental impact on the planet made from thousands of reused plastic bags, which float upwards like a hot-air balloon when heated by the sun.
Becoming Aerosolar” is currently on view at the 21er Haus art museum in Vienna through August 30th.

These two constructions are inspired by and built after two of the largest factories in China, they are about pearls and the discrepancy between their perceived status of being timeless status symbols of refined taste and wealth and the often very unromantic reality.

Speaking about her work Carrington says: “Mundane objects like knives and forks, barbed wire, pins and paintbrushes come with their own readymade histories”

Spanish Banksy by Spy

A Large Coin Mural Made with Thousands of Eurocents in a centric neighborhood in the city of Bilbao, Spain by Spy.

For the project the artist glued thousands of 2 cent coins to a wall to create a large mural spelling the word “Crisis”.
After completion the installation was left free and unguarded for the public to interact with. All the coins disappeared in less than 24 hours.
