Palindrome and Ambigram – Did you know?

If anything a word, phrase or sequence that can be read backward and forward in similarity is called Palindrome.

Something that can be read or viewed same in two ways like in its reverse or upside down is called Ambigram.

Nature’s miracle – It’s alive even when it’s not been fed since 44 years.

Can you imagine someone not being fed and alive? Probably you may think for few days or few months only. But here’s a nature’s miracle that it’s alive even when it’s not been fed with any water or fresh air since last 44 years and it’s a rare phenomenon.

Actually we are talking about this plant which was planted in 1960 by this man, David Latimer from  Cranleigh, Surrey. He last fed it in 1972 and stopped thereafter with a desire to experiment the same. But today also these plants are green.

The sealed pot containing the plant has a capacity of 38 liters and it’s deeply filled with the plant now. David is 80 now and it’s been assumed that the plant has developed it’s own ecosystem to stay alive for so many years without even being watered.

It’s surprising to know that in last 53 years this plant is being fed only once in 1972 before tightly sealing it as an experiment. The hardy spiderworts has grown inside to fill the 10 gallon jar surviving entirely on water, nutrients and recycled air.

Can you imagine to sleep or dine in two countries at the same time? Yes, it’s happening here.

Can you imagine to sleep or dine in two countries at the same time?

You might think it to be a dream or an imagination, but it’s true and here’s how?

Have you heard about the unique Arbez Hotel located on the France – Swiss border? The uniqueness of this hotel is that it has some rooms which are located on the border and allows the visitors to stay in two countries at the same time.

In some of the rooms of this hotel, guests can sleep with their heads in France while their feet in Switzerland or vice versa as the border runs right through the hotel ― and in some rooms, it runs right through the beds. While in some cases a bedroom lies in Switzerland and it’s bathroom in France.

The bed in the honeymoon suite is split between the two countries, and another guest room is entirely in Switzerland, though its adjoining bathroom is in France. So you can enjoy the trip to two countries at the same time while staying at this hotel particularly.

The restaurant of the hotel also lies on the border and it features both local French and Swiss cuisine giving it’s visitors a special experience where you can benefit from two cultures and traditions.

At the dining room at Hotel Arbez you can eat in Switzerland or France — or both if you sit at this table.

The hotel’s website reads as “Two nations sleep in the same bed and eat at the same table.”

Have you heard about the Flying River Taxi coming soon by 2017? Read the story here:

French start up SeaBubbles had once again proved the words of Napoleon Hill, “There is always plenty of capital for those who can create practical plans for using it” absolutely correct. They have been successful in raising $550,000 in funding to build egg-shaped taxis flying above the river Seine to reduce traffic in Paris.

The battery-driven river shuttle can be convoked by a smartphone and piloted by a robot. These taxis can travel for up to 80-100 km on a single charge.

Two entrepreneurs of SeaBubbles are working on the project and have been successful in raising funds for the first round, where as the next round of funding will be done by August to develop the taxi app and docking stations around the pod.

SeaBubbles wants to build battery operated bubble shaped ships that hover a few inches above water which can transport maximum five people including a pilot at a time.  Thebault, one of the founder, said, “The goal is to forgo the pilot and make the system fully autonomous in a few years once regulation allows it.”

As more cash is required to turn their dreams into cabs, the startup said they have reached out to car-hailing company Uber Technologies Inc. as well as construction company Vinci SA and luxury-goods maker LVMH. The matter is in discussion and shortly they expect to reach at some concluding decisions.

“You’ve got packed roads and empty waterways in a lot of cities – there’s an obvious opportunity,” co-founder Alain Thebault said in an interview. “We want to build water taxis.” Founders Anders Bringdal and Thebault, a surfer and a math-loving sailor respectively, together broke the record for speed on a floating sailboat they’d designed in 2009.

The founders said SeaBubbles has the support of Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, who has pledged to cut pollution in the city. Carmakers, battery vendors and software engineering companies have expressed interest in helping develop upgrades and scale production.

The startup will sell the pods to individuals as well as countries, cities and companies, but its founders are still debating whether they want to manage a taxi service themselves or outsource it.

Expected to launch by summers in 2017, the taxis will be available for booking through a dedicated app and will have their own docking ports. The founders wish to showcase the first bubble at the 2017 Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show in January.

World’s first unstaffed grocery store opens in Sweden. Here’s how it works.

Can you imagine a grocery store which is always open 24/7 and has no employees at all, not even on cash counters? Yes, it’s a reality in Viken town of Sweden. It’s the first of it’s kind, where there are no employees, and it works normal just like any other grocery store. You just need a smartphone and membership to make purchases in this convenience store.

The store which is membership based, relies on trust and a credit check on it’s customers. You need to install the app which is then linked to your bank account to unlock the store’s door which opens for only 8 seconds and cameras are installed all over to ensure the security. Customers enter the store, scan the barcodes of the products they want, and they receive the invoice a month later. Customers are required to become the members by passing a credit check.

Robert Ilijason, the only employee and store owner said, the idea of the store came from a broken jar of baby food. When that jar was the last one in the store at owner’s village and there was no open store in his village he had to rush to the big city to  get a new one. The idea clinched his mind and he wanted to open a 24/7 store. He further said having employees 24/7 is so expensive that he used technology to manage his store and his idea worked.

The store currently sells dairy products, dried and frozen foods, and is based on the concept that demand will dictate what the store stocks.

He is planning further to open few more stores to make sure this concept works. He hopes to make this concept work in whole Sweden and plans to further expand his idea to the world at large.

How to find and locate your lost smartphone or any android device just in one minute even if it is in silent mode.

It happens several times that we keep our smartphones at places and forget or we lost somewhere while dropping it off or somebody has stolen it. In any such circumstances this information is of vital use.

Here is how you can search and locate your smartphone and secure it back. Google’s Android Device Manager locates lost devices and helps you keep your device—and the data inside it—safe and secure.

Step 1: Log in to your Google account from any other device, the same account which you have logged in with your android device.

Step 2: On the google search bar write “Where is my phone?” and you will locate it on google map, but before showing your smartphone’s location google will ask you to reenter the password in order to ensure the authorized access and secure your device.

Step 3: You have three options there: Ring, Lock and Erase.

In case you forget your phone in some known location, you can ring and find it out.

In case you dropped it somewhere you can lock your phone.

In case your smartphone is stolen you also have an option for erasing all the data from your phone in order to secure your confidential information from being theft.

Not only this Google’s Android Device Manager will ring even if the phone is in silent mode and you cannot locate it.

We expect further such innovative steps from giant companies like google and alike.

Throw to grow campaign – Give growth for generations

image

Please circulate this message as far and to as many people as you can.

This is the season of fruits like mango, jamun, jack fruit Etc.

My request to all of us is to kindly don’t throw the seeds, wash them, dry them and keep it in a plastic pouch in your car.

Whenever you go out and find baren land while travelling, on a highway throw these seeds. They will germinate easily the coming monsoon.

If with this act we can contribute even a single tree to our mother nature, our mission is successful.

This is not just a random idea. It was initiated decades ago in areas like satara and ratnagiri in maharastra and have been successful. Many other districts have appealed to people to spread abundance in nature this way and many citizens have joined this wonderful mission.

It would be wonderful if all of us join this great mission and contribute a little towards our mother nature and make this world a better place to live in for our next generations.

This robot could be the benchmark at Swachh Bharat Mission replacing cleaning men everywhere

The ROAR project (Robot based Autonomous Refuse handling), is a system in it’s prototype phase where an autonomous robot works with a drone to pick up trash from the locations and collect it within the garbage truck.

The project which is funded by the Volvo group is being invented by more than 30 students from different universities. This robot can replace the cleaning / garbage men totally, once the project is fully functional. The project was announced by the Volvo group in September.

The robot is equipped with sensors and camera on top of the truck which navigates it and keeps it away from the obstacles. The process is being tested and it also has an inbuilt emergency break to avoid collision with any object or suppose a child is running. The robot will automatically stop in such a situation. It can also change it’s way if the sensor detects any obstacle on the way.

Watch here how the project works:

An inspiring story – Teaching great lessons about life

Here are some inspiring words -Anonymous

Though these words were send to me in the name of Steve Jobs, but in absence of any firm source they can’t be attributed to Mr. Jobs.

Steve Jobs’ Last Words were “Oh..wow, Oh..wow, Oh..wow” as told by his sister and published at various media print and online.

These words convey great learning and inspiration.

By anyway, we should take a pause in life, look around, feel the love and cherish all what we do have, be grateful and do all the good what all we can to live a happy life filled with satisfaction and contentment.

Here goes these words:

“I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success.

However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.

At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.

In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer…

Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth…

Should be something that is more important:
Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger days

Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being, just like me.

God gave us the senses to let us feel the love in everyone’s heart, not the illusions brought about by wealth.

The wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me. What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love.

That’s the true riches which will follow you, accompany you, giving you strength and light to go on.

Love can travel a thousand miles. Life has no limit. Go where you want to go. Reach the height you want to reach. It is all in your heart and in your hands.

What is the most expensive bed in the world?

Sick bed…
You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you.

Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost – Life.

When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading – Book of Healthy Life.

Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down.

Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends.
Treat yourself well. Cherish others.”
